Starting therapy can feel intimidating — especially when it’s online. But knowing what to expect can help ease your mind.
Here’s how it works:
Once you schedule your first session, you’ll receive simple intake forms to complete beforehand. On the day of, you’ll click a secure link to join our video call — no downloads or special tech required.
During our first session, we’ll:
Talk about what brings you to therapy
Go over any questions or concerns you have
Begin setting gentle goals together
Take things at your pace — there’s no pressure to “open up” right away
What to bring:
Just yourself, a quiet space, and maybe a notebook. You’re welcome to show up as you are — camera on or off, cozy clothes, messy bun — it’s your time.
Virtual therapy is real therapy.
It’s safe, confidential, and deeply effective — all from the comfort of your space. You’re not alone in this, and you don’t have to have it all figured out to begin.
Is This Just Stress... or Do I Need Therapy?
We all have rough days. But when does feeling “off” become something worth exploring in therapy?
We all have rough days. But when does feeling “off” become something worth exploring in therapy?
Here’s a quick way to tell:
If your thoughts, mood, or energy are starting to interfere with your daily life — work, relationships, sleep, or motivation — that’s a sign it’s more than just a stressful week.
You might benefit from therapy if:
You feel overwhelmed or anxious more days than not
You struggle to manage your emotions or feel “on edge”
You’re going through a big life change (career, move, loss, etc.)
You feel stuck, unmotivated, or disconnected from yourself
You keep thinking, “Something just doesn’t feel right”
Therapy doesn’t mean something is ‘wrong’ with you.
It means you’re human — and ready to process, heal, or grow. Virtual therapy gives you a safe space to be heard and supported, wherever you are.
